Statement of Faith
Our creed, discipline, and Biblical conviction are those truths revealed to us by the Holy Spirit through the authority of Scripture. (St. John 14:6, 1 Corinthians 2:9-13).
We believe in the repentance of sins, baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the infilling of the Holy Spirit and living a godly life in order to escape the judgment of God and to have the hope of enjoying the glory of eternal life.
Our Mission
At Holy Lighthouse Church, our mission is to spread the love of Christ to all. We strive to create a welcoming environment where everyone can grow in faith and community.
Our mission is to reach our community and world at large with the glorious gospel by exalting the name, power and majesty of Jesus Christ; to equip believers for service and to be prepared for the rapture and the coming of our Lord.
Community Outreach
Holy Lighthouse Church is dedicated to serving our local community through various outreach programs. We believe in making a positive impact and helping those in need.
History of Holy Lighthouse Church
Holy Lighthouse Mission started in a small garage located at 65 Anderson Street in New Rochelle, NY in 1930 by Reverend Mamie Farr.
On November 9, 1958 Holy Lighthouse became incorporated and some years later on January 20, 1964, Holy Lighthouse Church moved to a larger facility at 20 Lockwood Avenue in New Rochelle. Pastor Rowena Hawkes was the Pastor when the church moved into this locale. Mother Hawkes, as she was affectionately known, successfully led the congregation for 35 years.
On September 23, 2001, Holy Lighthouse Church members triumphantly marched from 20 Lockwood Avenue in New Rochelle to 528 North Avenue, New Rochelle. After much anticipation, prayer, sacrifice and hard work the church family was ecstatic to call the former Bank of New York our new church home. Our pastor, Dr. Derek G. Pierson, led the church in this dynamic building fund undertaking.
And on December 25, 2016, by the grace of God, we gathered to burn the mortgage on this building.
